Ad design for paid acquisition

Need more ads
without writing more briefs?

We research your customers, industry and competitors, then turn your unique selling points into ads that give people a reason to choose you.

Why Kalvano

Most designers need a brief.
We start before one.

Customer research, messaging and finished ad designs. One partner.

Most designers

You write the brief.

You research the audience, decide what the ad should say and write the brief. They turn your instructions into a design.

Kalvano

We handle the groundwork.

We study what customers care about, how competitors advertise and what sets your product apart. Then we handle the messaging and design, so your team gets finished ads ready to test.

We research your customers. We write the message. We design the ads.
Your team runs the campaigns.

Motion or video can be scoped separately.

The method

Understand the customer. Make the message matter.

Research, messaging and design, informed by what your campaigns tell us.

01Research

Know what matters

We study your customers, industry, competitors and current ads, alongside your product’s unique selling points (USPs). We connect what makes you different to what customers need and why they buy.

02Design

Design the ads

We write the copy and design finished static ads that make your value clear, connect it to a customer need and give people a reason to act.

03Repeat

Learn and repeat

Your team runs the campaigns. We use available results to refine the messaging and design, and plan what to test next.

The work

Ad designs, with a purpose.

See how a customer need shapes the message and the finished ad design.

Questions

Before you ask.

Who is Kalvano for?

Digital-first businesses already investing in paid acquisition: subscription apps, consumer apps, SaaS, digital education, consumer AI and selected fintech. Selected financial and trading brands can also be a fit.

Do you run the campaigns or manage ad accounts?

No. We are specialists in creative strategy, production and iteration. Your media buying team, in house or external, runs the campaigns and we build from their results.

What is included in a Creative Sprint?

The US$1,250 Sprint is a one-time introductory engagement for new clients. It includes product, customer and competitor research, three distinct advertising concepts with the reasoning explained, 18 finished static assets across agreed versions and sizes, ad copy and a short testing-priority guide. Delivery is within seven days of receiving payment and required inputs, with one consolidated revision round. Motion or video is scoped separately. Subsequent standalone projects are quoted separately.

What counts as a concept, version or asset?

A concept is a distinct advertising idea or hypothesis. A version explores that concept through a different hook, message or visual. An asset is a finished export in an agreed size: one version exported in three sizes counts as three assets, not three concepts. We agree the mix of versions and sizes before production, so you know exactly what you will receive.

How is the Creative Engine planned each month?

Before each month begins, we agree four new advertising concepts, the mix of versions and export sizes, and two delivery dates. The monthly scope includes up to 30 finished static assets, including iterations, plus ad copy, a 30-minute creative review and the next-month testing plan. The agreed delivery plan makes the output concrete; 30 is the maximum, not a guaranteed monthly quantity. Available campaign results inform the next ideas and iterations.

What is included in a revision round?

A consolidated revision round is one collected set of feedback from your designated approver on the agreed creative direction. The Sprint includes one round; the Engine includes one round per drop. A new concept, changed brief or additional revision round is agreed as extra scope or scheduled into a future Engine drop. Corrections to our own mistakes do not use your revision allowance.

How do billing and cancellation work?

The Sprint is paid upfront and creates no ongoing commitment. The Engine is billed monthly in advance, with no minimum multi-month commitment. Cancel before your next billing date to stop the next renewal; we complete the agreed work for the current paid month. We confirm your billing and delivery dates before you start.

Why do several ads come from one concept?

One advertising idea should not be judged from one execution. We develop meaningful versions through different hooks, visuals, formats, opening frames and messaging, so your team can test the idea properly and iterate what works.

What do you need from us to start?

Payment, product information, your brand assets and current creative, plus one kickoff call and a designated approver. Share whatever campaign data is available and tell us who will launch the work. We confirm receipt of the required inputs and the start date before the seven-day Sprint begins. You do not need to write a detailed creative brief; that is part of our work.

Can you use our existing UGC or video footage?

Yes. We can quote separately to repurpose existing creator footage or product video. Video editing is not included in the standard static packages. We do not source creators or run shoots.

What formats do you produce?

The standard Sprint and Engine include static ad creative in agreed sizes. Motion, video editing and repurposing existing footage are scoped and priced separately. We recommend formats that suit the advertising hypothesis and your campaign needs.

What happens if an ad does not perform?

We review the available campaign data to decide what to refine or test next. An ad alone cannot guarantee conversions: the offer, landing page and campaign execution also matter. On a Sprint you keep everything produced. On a Creative Engine, those findings inform the next scheduled drop.

Who will we actually be working with?

You work directly with the person doing the research, the strategy and the creative direction. Specialist production is brought in where a concept calls for it. There is no account layer and no handover to a separate team.

How does an engagement start?

Most engagements start with a Creative Sprint. You receive finished ads for your team to test, then we review whether ongoing research, design and iteration through a Creative Engine make sense.

Need a stronger creative pipeline?

Show us your product, current ads and what you want customers to do. We will discuss how research, messaging and design could support your next campaign.
